As a child, I developed a deep love for art and its ability to express myself and connect with others. Eventually, I decided to pursue an art career and enrolled at Rhode Island School of Design to study Illustration. It was during this time that I discovered the diverse applications of art and its potential to make a positive impact on the world.

I graduated from RISD in 2019 with a BFA and returned to California. After a few months, I took up a contractor position at a card company called Paper Culture. My role involved helping customers enhance or modify their holiday card designs based on their feedback. This experience sparked my interest in improving people's everyday experiences, particularly in the realm of online services.

 

In 2020, I took a chance and joined Hemlane, a property management startup. Despite initial worry about transitioning from hand-drawn illustrations to digital design, I quickly self-taught UX design principles, processes, and design tools. Leveraging my artistic expertise and empathetic nature, I adapted to the role and created numerous features and interfaces that became foundations of the product during my 4.5 years with the company. I collaborated often with engineers and stakeholders and I thrive working in a fast-paced environment. 

 

I am dedicated to continuously improving my technical skills and knowledge to create designs that enhance our human experience.

 

In my free time, I enjoy reading manga, creating fan art, and watching soccer. I am a passionate fan of Real Madrid (a Spanish soccer club), and my favorite player is Luka Modric. I also had the amazing experience of traveling to Spain in 2023 to watch Luka play; the trip has inspired me to visit more countries in the future.
